Emily Robinson
Emily Robinson is a long time collaborator of The Contextual Villains and we are constantly inspired by her beautifully detailed mixed media drawings with shades of bittersweet darkness and an underlying sense of love and empathy. Her richly crafted figures exist in their spacious environments with a sense of unease that is in contrast to the classic beauty of the images.
She was a god send for this project, always at the ready when we approached with ridiculous requests....emily emliy we need a magpie headed girl by thursday...
She graduated with honours from the Canberra School of Art Painting Department and is currently on her way to Israel for love and art and cats and olive groves....to return down south next year to develop a solo show for exhibition in New Zealand and Australia.
